Three More Knights Selected In the 2015 NHL Entry Draft  Share

The WBS Knights are extremely proud of three alumni members selected in the 2015 NHL Draft that occurred on June 26th and 27th at Sunrise, Florida. Ivan Provorov was selected 7th overall to the Philadelphia Flyers. Daniel Sprong was selected 46th overall to the Pittsburgh Penguins and Nikita Pavlychev was also selected to the Pittsburgh Penguins at #197.  The organization is extremely excited to see these players selected to the NHL based Pennsylvania teams.


“We are so happy and excited for these talented, hard working young men,” noted Coach Alex Vasko. Coach Alex scouted and recruited Ivan and Nikita from his home country of Russia as well as coaching and training all three players while with the Knights organization.  “The Knights have a long and proud history of developing young players and helping them move on to highest levels of hockey. It is a testament to how hard these young athletes work and what an excellent job the Knights coaching staff did in helping with their development. We wish Ivan, Daniel and Nikita all the best as they pursue their dream.”
