PITTSTON, Penn. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights shutout the Jamestown Rebels, 4-0, in a matinee matchup at Revolution Ice Centre on Friday, November 22.
The Knights’ record in Regular Season play improves to 11-10-1-1 (W-L-OTL-SOL).
Caydon Meyer opened the game with a power play goal at 6:20 of the first period, with assists from Nikita Asylaev and Christopher Rubenach.
The Knights entered the second period carrying a 1-0 lead over the Rebels, and went on to extend that lead to 3-0 by the end of the middle frame.
Artur Turansky tallied the second Knights goal of the game off of assists from Zak Currie and Lincoln Hatten, with 6:40 to go in the period.
Twenty-eight seconds later, Aaron Hamel scored the Knights’ third goal with assists from Sutton McDonald and Shane Murphy.
Lincoln Hatten scored the fourth goal of the game at 2:19 of the third period to close out scoring and secure the 4-0 victory, with assists from Brian Smith and Currie.
Zach Stejskal played a full game in net and recorded the shutout for the Knights.
The Knights face off against the Rebels once again tomorrow, November 23, at 3:00pm.
