The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights have acquired Keenan Sabatini from the Springfield Jr. Blues. From Armada, Michigan, the right handed defenseman brings plenty of experience and size to the Knights’ blue line, measuring in at 6-2, 207 lbs.
A long-tenured member of the NAHL, Sabatini spent an entire season with the Keystone Ice Miners in 2015-16 before taking a tour around the league with Janesville, Amarillo and Springfield last season.
In 2016-17, Sabatini scored one goal and two assists in 8 games with Springfield before being making his Knights debut yesterday.
To acquire Sabatini, the Knights traded forward Braden Brown to Springfield. Sabatini will get his next chance to take the ice with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton today at 1 pm EST against the Northeast Generals.
