The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights organization is pleased to announce the tender signing of defenseman Spencer Weisgram.
Weisgram, 18, is the second defenseman to tender with the Knights organization this season, joining Caden Lewandowski.
“Spencer is a solid two-way defensemen that skates well, but is also very tough to play against,” said NAHL director of scouting, Andrew Whiteside. “He defends effectively in small areas and can compliment a power play very nicely. Any time you have the chance to land a student-athlete from Culver, you know you’re getting a high-character individual with significant leadership qualities. We are looking forward to Spencer taking a big step in his development next year.”
The Fargo, ND native currently skates for Culver Military Academy Prep. The 6’0″, 190lb blue liner posted seven points in 47 games at the USHS-prep level a season ago.
Weisgram becomes the fourth overall tender signing for the Knights in the 2018-19 campaign.
