The Knights have the great pleasure of announcing David MacGregor’s commitment to play for the University of Massachusetts – Boston Beacons.
David MacGregor is a 1994-born, California native who is enjoying his first season within the Knights organization. MacGregor is a 5-foot-10-inch, 180-pound offensively gifted forward. The 2014-2015 season saw him put up 9 goals and 27 assists in 44 games played.
“David’s commitment to working hard and playing the game the right way has earned him a spot with the Beacons,” explained Head Coach/GM Justin Lyle. “His willingness to battle and make plays will surely help him achieve success at the next level. I’m very confident he will thrive at UMass-Boston. I wish him nothing but the best.”
The UMass-Boston Beacons are an NCAA Division III hockey program playing out of the Eastern College Athletic Conference – East. They are currently ranked second in the conference behind the Norwich Cadets.
“I’m really excited about getting to play with UMass-Boston and their coaches,” replied David MacGregor when asked about his commitment. “I think it will be great fit with their program, academically, and the city itself is incredible. I want to thank my family and Coach Lyle for helping me with the commitment. Playing for the Knights has been a really great experience.” MacGregor plans to embark on an Engineering Major at UMass-Boston.
