The Eastern Hockey League announced its’ roster for the 2018 EHL All-Star Weekend Monday evening and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights are happy to acknowledge forward Hunter Bersani on being selected to participate in this year’s games.
Bersani will be the lone representative from the EHL Knights. The All-Star weekend begins Friday, October 19th and concludes the following evening. On both days, the EHL will field a roster set to compete against two different NCAA hockey clubs in exhibition games. On Friday, the league will face-off with Plymouth State, followed by a rematch from last year’s All-Star Game Saturday against UMass Boston. Both are NCAA Division III schools.
A former NA3HL product, Bersani has fit well in his first year’s with Wilkes-Barre. The Allen, Texas native leads the team in goals, assists, and points, with 14 (6G-8A) through the first nine games of the season. Bersani is tied for 19th in league scoring.
“He exemplifies everything we want in our players as an organization and more importantly represents the type of players this league wants,” said EHL Knights’ Head Coach Josh Fusco. “He has a high compete level and his play on the ice and stat sheet proves he is one of the best players in this league.”
All-Star bound Bersani and the EHL Knights continue their regular season schedule Wednesday afternoon against the New Jersey 87’s, before breaking for All-Star weekend.
